East Lake Vets for Vets
As a division of East Lake Pet Orphanage, Vets for Vets arose out of the recognition that the greatest barrier to veterans receiving medical care was often the fact no funding exists to provide pet care for Veterans. Rather than receive in patient care, many disabled veterans post-pone needed care simply because they have no support to safely and affordably lodge a pet.
In a unique and collaborative working relationship with DAV Chapter 57, donations are now being accepted to support reduced rate veterinary care for veterans.
The East Lake team recognizes the critical role pets hold relative to emotional well being for veterans and others. It is an honor to support veterans who have supported all of us in this country to enjoy the freedoms we have today.
